Chippa Strikers batted first against Shadab Sports at the Victory Premier League Season 2. The team lost opener Shahzaib Dyer for duck but seemed to recover well after that. Bilal Aslam played a handy cameo of 26 at the top but it was ever reliable Ismail Shah who really got the momentum on his team’s side. Ismail scored 85 off 47 balls including 4 sixes. Umair Tariq provided further support with his 34 as Chippa Strikers ended at a competitive 183 for 7 in 20 overs. Rafay Malik was the star bowlers for Shadab Sports with a sensational 5 wicket haul. Shadab bowlers however were weak against the opposition, unable to capitalize in key moments, allowing the batters to score freely.

In response, Shadab were outdone by a super bowling performance and simply could not keep their wickets intact. After losing opener Umer for duck, the team continued to fall apart with Abdul Rehman Sohail’s 23 being the highest score for their side. Chippa bowlers were outstanding with the ball with Imran Haider picking up 4 wickets in his spell and Kashif and Luqman taking 2 each. Shadab Sports were dismissed for 140 runs in 19.1 overs.
