Mustangs CC and Medicam went against each other on 26th September in the opening match of the Karachi Masters League.

Asad Iqbal and Zohaib Khan opened the innings for Medicam. Asad was phenomenal with his efforts with an explosive 82 off 54. His innings included 14 boundaries. Though Zohaib lost his wicket on a low score of 9. However, Abdullah Fazal went on to score 44 runs off just 28 balls. Jahanzaib Niazi led the bowling attack, as he bagged 3 wickets. The batters of Medicam were successful in posting a mammoth total of 184.

Sohail Khan and Adnan Sohail opened the second innings, scoring 41 and 31 runs respectively. Their start helped Mustangs gain a stable platform. However, Afnan Khan and Uzair Akber dented the momentum bagging 2 wickets each. Though Haseeb Ashfaq scored 54 runs; however, his innings was not enough to lead Mustangs to a win.

The performance of Mustangs’ batters did not help them secure a win but narrowed the margin of loss. Hence, Medicam won the match by 16 runs.
