Bilal associates batted first and were in deep trouble as they lost Ahmed Hussain (6), M Khurram (0), Ali Iqbal (5), M Faizan (0) and Asif Izhar for 5 runs. Babar Malik with 37 runs and Shahid Mirani with 21 runs provided some semblance of stability before Waseem Ali with 22 runs helped get them to 116 for 9 wickets in 20 overs. For Mateen Enterprises, Shah Husain starred in his spell, picking up 3 wickets. Farhan got 2 wickets and surprisingly there were 4 run outs in the innings.
In reply, what was supposed to be an easy chase turned out to be an exciting encounter as Rehan Tanoli (11), Fareed Shah(9) and Bahadur Ali(6) were dismissed in quick succession. Akhtar Muhammad with 17 runs and Muhammad ali with 19 runs continued the run chase but the match went down to the wire and it was Shah Hussain's 19 off 12 that helped Mateen Enterprises home with 3 balls to spare and for the loss of 8 wickets. For Bilal Associates, Farhan, Asif and Saqib took 2 wickets each while Waseem and Arif picked up a wicket each. A very exciting low scoring encounter with Mateen Enterprises emerging as the eventual victors.
