Viper United v Casta- FINAL!
Viper United and Casta clashed against each other at SKBZ Cricket Ground. Viper batted first and Faisal Jawaid was out for nought. However, Mubashir Fayyaz and Ibrahim Tahir did not take pressure as Mubashir got a steady 44 runs while Ibrahim played aggressively for 73 runs off 42 balls in an innings which included 2 boundaries and 6 maximums. Asif followed up with 24 runs and 14 by Kashif and 23 extras helped Viper reach a large score of 179 for 5 in 20 overs. For Casta, Faraz Naseem took 2 wickets while Ali, Sarfaraz and Muhammad Haseeb picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Casta lost Maroof early and Rizwan departed after having scored 27 runs. Imran Rauf then stepped up to play a steady innings and knocked 54 runs of 46 balls as he played the anchor role for the team while Muhammad Haseeb was in aggressive mode and took full advantage of some way ward bowling by Viper United bowlers as he scored an extraordinary 92 runs not out off just 39 balls at a strike rate of 235% and his innings included 7 boundaries and 8 sixes. Muhammad Haseeb ensured his team reached home with 8 balls to spare . The 3 wickets for Viper United were taken by Hasan, Aleem and Mohsin.
Casta won by 8 wickets and were crowned champions.
