Royal Stars v Abu Bakar XI
Royal Stars and Abu Bakar XI came head to head at KCCA cricket ground. Royal Stars batted first and opener Naqash Bilwani was in sublime form as he bamboozled the bowlers of the opposition with his exquisite shots all around the park. His was an extraordinary aggressive innings as he scored 103 runs off just 37 balls at an amazing strike rate of 278% and his innings included 16 boundaries and 4 sixes. Fawad with 30 not out and Shaheer with 22 runs ensured that their team ended at a mammoth 229 for the loss of 6 wickets. For Abu Bakar XI, Hassan took 2 wickets while Hasan, Umar, Ghayas and Fahad got a wicket each.
In reply, Abu Bakar XI fought back as openers Umer got 23 runs and Ghayas got 59 runs off 39 deliveries. Sadiq with 25 and Fahad with 26 tried to up the tempo but failed in the face of some good line and length bowling and in the end their team ended short at 183 for 6 wickets. For Royal Stars, Waleed and Hammad took 2 wickets each while Fawad and Shaheer picked up a wicket each.
