In what was a highly competitive match up, National Foods managed to beat United Energy Pakistan by seven wickets at the IBA Ground.
United Energy were off to a blazing start as Shariq Iqbal Siddiqui and Haiwaad Ahmed made 44 runs each. In the lower order, Faisal Mehmood smashed 28 from 12 as the team made 184 in 20 overs. Ghulam Adil took four wickets, Waqar Ahmed Khan took two and Azhar Ali and Ali Nasir took one.
Arif Khan was the match-winner for National Foods with his 118 from just 57 deliveries. Irfan Khan then closed the innings with 58 from 35 to give National Foods the win in 16.5 overs. Haiwaad Ahmed took two wickets while Hassan Qaiser took one.
