Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana and Media Shop CC played as part of the 20th Challengers cup at Al Mansoora cricket ground. Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana were off to a bad start as they lost 4 early wickets of Kashif (10), Farhan (14), Farrukh (5) and Talha (2). However, M. Zubair with 33 runs and Hassan Qazi's outstanding 78 pulled off a remarkable comeback to take their team to a respectable 151 for 6 in 20 overs. For Media Shop, Hamza Rangoonia starred with 3 wickets in his spell, Hamza Shahnawaz took 2 wickets and Farrukh Rangoonia picked up a wicket.
In reply, Media Shop cc also lost early wickets as Captain Khuram Wahab was out for 1 and Uzair Aslam for 4 runs. Amir Majeed with 37 runs and Farrukh Rangoonia with 37 runs fought back and brought their team close but in the end Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana bowlers playing on their home ground used all the tricks in the book to restrict Media Shop CC to 135 for 8 in 20 overs. For Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana, Talha, Shahab and Kashif took 2 wickets each and Abbas Raza got a wicket.
