Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana Vs Friends XI
NHGK were off to a massive start with their opening pair in the first innings of the match against Friends XI. Both openers gave their side one hell of a start with their superb performance. Farhan Asif scored 39 runs and M. Faizan scored a brilliant 58 runs just off 38 balls. Talha Bin Haider came in at number 3 and added decent runs to the scoreboard with his knock of 22 runs. Farukh Rizvi and Hassan Qazi were the last pair to contribute to their side’s total with an amazing partnership of 45 runs. By the end of 20 overs, NHGK reached the total of 177 runs.
Friends XI were looking great with their opening pair as they got things underway with a bang. Zohaib Ahmed and Tahir Iqbal were looking great and scored a partnership of 63 runs. Hammad and Usman Ghani were the ones to put an end to both of these batsmen and picked up 2 wickets each late on in the game. Qamar Ud Duja was also doing great with the bat and scored 43 runs but unfortunately lost his wicket through a run out. Iftikhar Chaudry was also in top form and was doing well with the bat while he scored 33 runs and brought his side very close to the victory but in the end they ran out luck and overs as well. They reached the total of 171 runs but in the end it was NHGK who prevailed. A very exciting chase and close call for both sides.
NHGK won by 6 runs.
