Rangoonwala Cricket Club put up an admirable effort against the North Hawks but they failed to succeed here at the Al Mansoora on the 28th of March.
Rangoonwala produced some outstanding performances; opener Imran Ali made 48 from 31, Asad Ali made 25 from 16, Nadeem Javed made 81 from 42 remaining not out and Daniyal Rajput made 69 from 30 to help push their team to a near impossible total of 234 runs in just 20 overs for the loss of just four wickets. Shaz Shajani and Muhammad Asad took two wickets each.
North Hawks proved this total to be no challenge at all as they made 235 in just 17.5 overs for the loss of four wickets. Ahmed Hussain made a very impressive 49 from 25, Adeel Khan made an outstanding 81 from just 31 balls, Shahzar Hasan made 62 from 34 and remained not out. These spectacular batting performances helped the North Hawks get the win in this very competitive match. Nasir took an impressive three wickets while Waseem Ali took one.
