Gondal United batted first in the 2nd match of the Memon Cricket League (MCL) and faced an absolute collapse at the hands of Okhai Stars. With the exception of responsible opener Talha Ahmedani's anchoring knock of 59 runs, the team completely imploded with 7 of the batsmen dismissed in single digits. Okhai Stars bowlers showed no mercy with Shahid Jiwani leading the attack with 2 wickets in his spell. Abdul Wahab, Sudais and Hafeez also chipped in with a wicket each. Gondal United ended at a low total of 127 for 9 in 20 overs.
In response, Okhai Stars batsmen came out with intent with opener Aqeel Mamdani leading from the front. His match winning knock of 52 paired with Ammar Riaz's 30 not out helped set up Okhai Stars first victory at the MCL. Gondal's bowlers needed an extraordinary spell to try and limit the opposition but despite Talha Ahmedani, Sameer Ahmedani and Muneer Ahmedani taking a wicket each, they were unable to defend their team's total. Okhai Stars chased down the target in 17.4 overs.
