Okhai Memon Youth Services (OMYS) v PDXI
OMYS batted first and had an ordinary day out with the bat. The team lost openers Ali and Aqeel for 12 and 13 runs respectively before Shakeel Aziz stepped in to steer the innings in his team's favor. He scored a valuable 40 runs and was supported by Basit's cameo of 21 runs. The team lost wickets in regular intervals but kept the scoreboard ticking throughout the innings. Abdullah Idrees was the only other notable contributor for his side with a 23 run knock. PDXI did well to restrict the opposition with Adeel Hussain leading the attack with 3 wickets. Saad Khan caused further damage taking 2 wickets for his side. OMYS set a target of 143 runs in 20 overs.
PDXI were off to a rocky start after losing opener Nabeel for just 4 runs. The chasing side however kept their nerves with Hasham scoring 17 runs. A few quick wickets caused a frenzy before Shahzaib and Shani stepped in to lead the recovery. They scored 35 and 32 runs respectively. Things seemed to be going well for PDXI but after the duo were dismissed, none of the other batsmen were able to see their team through. Abdul Samad Gaba and Shehzad picked up 2 wickets each. PDXI were limited to 136 in 20 overs.
OMYS clinched a victory by 7 runs.
