OMYS batted first and were off to a brilliant start as their openers looked in great touch and they utilized the early overs to the great effect. Aqeel scored a brilliant 50 off just 22 balls with 3 monstrous sixes and 5 elegant boundaries, his partner at the other end, Shakeel Aziz gave him great support as he scored 25 off 28 balls with 2 fours and 1 six but most importantly he kept the strike rotated. Once they were dismissed, the one down, Basit propelled the score forward and he took advantage of the platform given by the opening pair. He scored 34 off just 26 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. After his dismissal, the bowling side came back strongly and picked some quick wickets in the middle order with Sajjad and Kashif picking up 2 wickets each. But again, the ending was a great one from OMYS as Anus and Abdullah played little cameos of 16 and 18 respectively to take their side to a big 173.
The chase was off to a worst possible start as Relative Power lost both their openers for a duck. OMYS could not have asked for a better beginning from their new ball bowling pair of Raheel and Abdul Waheed Senior. Raheel was the main destroyer as he picked up 3 wickets whereas Waheed picked up 1. The fun was not over for the bowling side as Abdul Samad Gaba came in and picked up 3 wickets to leave Relative Power in dire situation. Relative Power were brought down to their knees by great bowling from OMYS. The chase was out of the equation as the bowling was too good and in the end OMYS folded Relative Power’s innings for just 94 runs in 15 overs.
