Red Pelicans batted first against Orange Falcons in the all important 2nd semi final of the Clash of Birds (BMSF) tournament with 3 of their top order batsmen falling for ducks in quick succession. Falcons bowlers were ruthless against the opposition, picking wickets constantly, not giving the batting side any room to score. Abbas Khuzaima was sensational in his spell, picking up 4 wickets. Abid Ali also picked up a couple as Red Pelicans ended at just 94 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
In response, Orange Falcons also lost opener Adnan for just 5 runs but made easy work of the rest of the chase. Mustansir chipped in with 16 but Idrees Cementwala really drove his side home with 39 off just 31 balls chasing a low target. Shabbir's 21 further helped Falcons over the line in 12.3 overs. Pelicans bowlers could do nothing to stop the flow of runs.
Orange Falcons won by 7 wickets and are through to the final.
