OGS batted first against Benitoz Panthers in the semi final of the Legends Cup. Opener Imran provided a quick start and scored 21 off 13. But the batsmen of the day for OGS were Noman Subhan and Muhammed Arshad. Arshad scored 35 runs while Noman played a resplendent innings of 65 runs in just 31 deliveries. OGS summed up to a score of 191 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. The bowlers of OGS were not impressive as they conceded too much runs. Madni Waqas from Panthers was the only bowler giving a notable performance and bagging 3 wickets in his economic spell.
Benitoz Panthers tried to play fast from the beginning in order to keep themselves up with the required pace. Opener Ahmed Arshad made 36 runs while one down Hamza Qadir scored 29 runs. But it was Shumail’s 56 runs innings which did the main job for Panthers. Tabish Raza’s fiery 26 runs innings in the concluding overs made sure that Panthers pass the finishing line before the completion of allotted 20 overs. OGS bowlers easily wasted their batsmen’s hard work and let the match slip out of their hands. Faraz bagged 3 while Kaleem Ullah and Shoaib picked up 2 wickets each but none of the things went into the favor of OGS bowlers.
Benitoz Panthers won by 3 wickets and will now face TNN Titans in the semi final.
