Karachi Patriots batted first against Super Daddy CC in a match of Legends Cup. The opening pair of Patriots failed to do their job and got dismissed early. One down Haris Altaf then compensated the early damage and played a sensible innings of 37 runs. Ghazanfar Ritchie further boosted his side and played a marvelous innings of 52 runs at a strike rate of 137. A quick 28 runs at a strike rate of 233 from the lower order Faraz Ahmed in the concluding overs helped his team to cross 170. The team summed up to the score of 171 in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Super Daddy bowlers though having a perfect start failed to keep themselves going on the right track. Noman, Abid and Naveed from Super Daddy picked up 2 wickets each.
The bowlers of Karachi Patriots continued to drive their team towards victory. Their plan was simple and it was to control the flow of runs. They not only bowled economically but continued to take wickets in regular intervals. Faisal Butt and Adeel Abbasi were the prominent wicket takers from Patriots picking up 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Super Daddy batsmen were too slow in scoring runs. Though Abid and Maqbool from their side scored 44 and 36 runs respectively, it was of no use as they did not play with the required pace. Super Daddy were limited to 149 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Karachi Patriots won by 22 runs.
