PDXI win the low scoring fixture

PDXI Vs K-Town Cricket Club

Friendly Fixture

K-Town Cricket Club batted first and were off to a poor start as they lost Waqas Mazhar for a golden duck. It was an ideal start for the bowling side. The bowlers were on top of their game and after dismissing Waqas for duck they picked up few more quick wickets to leave K-Town in disarray. Ali Affan was the most inspiring bowler as he picked up 4 wickets for just 19 runs. Adnan Saleem also picked up 2 wickets. After a troubled start, Safdar Younus and Bilal Bin Yousuf managed to bring some stability back in the innings as they added some crucial runs for their side. Safdar Younus scored 27 off 23 balls with 3 fours whereas Bilal Bin Yousuf scored 25 off 16 balls. It was a good little partnership which gave them some hope and the late order hitting from Salman (32) and Mudasir(15) gave them a good modest score off 131 in their first innings.

PDXI were not chasing a big score and they needed some good partnerships. The start was good Nabeel Akram and Junaid Yaqoob scored some useful runs at the top. Nabeel Akram scored 13 off 10 and after him Junaid was joined in by Shehbaz Muhammad and they both batted with supreme confidence and did not play any lose shots. Junaid was in sublime touch and he scored 66 off just 47 balls with 10 fours. His partner was a little quite at the other end, but managed to give good company to Junaid, Shehbaz scored 23 off 30 balls. It was a tough ask for the bowlers to defend this kind of score but they tried their best and in the end, it was not enough for them and PDXI won by 8 wickets only in 17 overs.
