PSO came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Despite loosing a wicket inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Muhammad Asif was hitting the ba cleanly towards all parts of the ground. Waqas Afzal played second fiddle to him as he scored 20 runs off 19 deliveries. Muhammad Asif played a sublime knock of 61 runs off 55 deliveries. The bowlers were then able to pickup 2 quick wickets but the momentum was stopped dead in it’s tracks by Faizan Zaman & Mir Azam. Both the batsmen played a cameo as Faizan Zaman scored 21 runs off 11 deliveries & Mir Azam scored 11 off 6. Ali Sohail lead the bowling lineup as he picked up 3 wickets. PSO posted a total of 170 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Maverick Stars Cricket Club came in to chase this target & were off to a shaky start. They lost 2 wickets inside the powerplay but were scoring at a decent rate. Hamza Salim & Saim Raees put up a decent partnership taking their team out of trouble momentarily. Hamza Salim scored run a ball 21 & Saim Raees scored 18 runs off 20 deliveries. Once the duo was dismissed the bowlers made their comeback & started picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Fahad Jilani & Behzad Anwar then put up a decent partnership as Fahad Jilani scored 21 runs off 17 deliveries & Behzad Anwar scored 13 off 22. The bowlers gained momentum once again & started to pick up wickets at quick successions. The rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed. Muhammad Kamran Khan completely tore apart the batting lineup as he picked up 4 wickets. He found good support from Bilal Shah who was equally good with the ball as he picked up 3 wickets. Maverick Stars Cricket Club were bowled out for 112 runs in 19 overs.
