Rims Lions went head to head against SV Trail Blazers at the all important final of the Bantva Super League. Batting first Rims Lions super star Rabish Ahmed did not let his side down with a fiery 56 that set the foundation at the top. The rest of the team however struggled to capitalize any further with only Jahangir Iqbal's 24 being the other notable contribution. Trail Blazers bowlers did well to keep things tight, picking up wickets consistently, never letting the game get away from them. An in-form Moin Jahangir was sensational in his spell, picking up 3 wickets while Ammar Shoaib picked up a couple. Rims Lions ended at a modest 145 for 8 in 20 overs.
In response, luck simply did not favour the chasing side! Opener Umair Yousuf was dismissed on 49 off 40 while the rest of the team simply imploded. Lions bowlers were ruthless, picking up wickets regularly, keeping complete control of the game at all times. Ubaid Umer, Rabish Ahmed and Abid Atlaf took 2 wickets each as SV Trail Blazers folded for 133 in 19.5 overs.
Rims Lions won by 12 runs and are champions of the Bantva Super League.
