It was that kind of an outing for TRG which they would like to remove from their memories as soon as possible because surely it was not the one to remember for a long time. Their performance was way below par and their opponents were on top of their game. TRG batted first and had the most bizarre outing with the bat. Except the number 9 batsmen, Ejaz Shakir none could even score in double figures. The bowling was of top quality from Reckitt and Benckiser as they shredded the batting line in pieces. Every bowler was impressive but Ali Khan was the highest wicket taker with 4 scalps for just 15 runs whereas Owais and Tahir picked up 3 each. In the end, TRG were dismissed for a disappointing 45.
A simple chase it was and it was just the matter of time in the second innings as Reckitt and Benckiser’s bowlers bowled their heart out. Though Reckitt and Benckiser lost 3 early wickets but still they were never troubled and got into any sort of pressure while chasing the target. Usman and Hassan formed a little partnership and added more than 30 runs together in which Usman scored 18 and Hassan scored 19 to take their side home comfortably.
Reckitt and Benckiser won by 7 wickets in 8.3 overs.
