Muslim Gymkhana batted first & were off to a flying start. Their openers had a partnership of 150+ runs taking the opposition bowlers to the absolute cleaners. Rehan Tanoli & Ismail Shah bashed the opposition towards all parts of the ground. Runs were flowing freely for the batsmen & the bowlers had no answer to this onslaught. There was absolute carnage in the middle & some supreme power hitting was on display. The partnership was finally broken as Ismail Shah’s sublime knock came to an end. He scored 65 runs off 40 runs. Rehan Tanoli later followed him as his batting master class was ended. He played a warriors innings of 110 runs which included 12 fours & 4 towering sixes. Adeel Abid Shamsi picked up 2 wickets but it was too little too late. Muslim Gymkhana posted a gigantic target of 190 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets.
Auto Mall came in to chase this daunting total & were off to a shaky start. They lost an early wickets but Ammar Iqbal & Arif Yaqoob steadied the ship with a partnership of 50+ runs. Ammar Iqbal played a fiery knock of 41 runs off just 28 runs. Arif Yaqoob played a quickfire innings of 34 runs but it wasn’t enough as the middle order batsmen failed to score big. Bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to get in the game. Mustafa Fattani picked up 3 wickets & was well supported by Farhan Nisar & Rehan Tanoli who picked up a couple of wickets each. Auto Mall were restricted for 173 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
