Lal Qila CC played against Revolution Star as part of the 3rd Big Bash League. Batting first, Revolution Star looked completely out of shape, losing wickets constantly, unable to gain momentum. Opener Bilal Ahmed top scored for his side with 27. The subsequent batsmen however fell apart with minor cameos. Kamran and Raheel tried to fight back with 12 and 14 runs respectively but it was the late surge of 22 by Zain which boosted Revolution Stars to 146 for 7 in 20 overs. Lal Qila bowlers did well to limit the opposition with Shoaib Virani, Zaiby Ahmed and M Usman picking up 2 wickets each.
In response, Lal Qila CC completely collapsed in their chase. After losing openers Zaiby and Usman, things did not get any easier as Revolution's bowlers gave nothing away. One down Abdur Rehman was the only notable contributor for his side with 20 runs with 8 of the team's players being dismissed in single digits. Revolution Stars bowlers Arbaz, Amjad and Anees picked up 2 wickets each and eventually bowled out Lal Qila CC for just 96 runs in 17.1 overs.
