Bilal Associate went head to head with Revolution Star at Hill Park cricket ground this past Sunday. Bilal Associates batted first losing opener Ahmed Hussain for duck and his partner Zulfiqar for just 6 runs. Ali Iqbal and Rashid Malik then stepped in to lead the recovery with important knocks of 30 and 41 to pull their team back in the game. However none of the subsequent batsmen were able to contribute with Revolution Stars bowlers picking wickets at key times. Amjad Khan took 3 wickets while Anees, Asif and Zain took 2 wickets each and Arbaz picked up a wicket to bowl out Bilal Associates for 122.
In response Revolution Star were strong in their approach with opener Furqan knocking it out of the park. His blistering knock of 67 came at a strike rate of 117. His partner Sohail also chipped in with a cameo of 21 and despite a fall of wickets thereafter, the foundation had been set. Shezad Khan also scored 16. Revolution Star chased down the target in 19 overs. Bilal Associates bowlers were ineffective with only Ali, Asif, Azeem and Hussain picking up a wicket each but it was too little too late.
Revolution Star won by 5 wickets.
