Gigi Gladiators and Spartans played at Moin Khan Cricket Academy as part of the 2nd ACM Gold t20 Night League. Gladiators batted first and lost openers Owais Gigi and Danial Ali early and were 10 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Afzal Gigi stabilized the innings with 21 runs but it was Ghazanfar Ritchie who showed aggression and got 78 runs off just 47 deliveries at a strike rate of 166 percent. His innings included 10 boundaries and 1 six. Adnan Salim and Usman Yunus Ghani then upped the ante and scored 47 runs off 23 balls and 23 runs off 10 balls respectively to ensure that Gladiators ended at 203 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. For Spartans, Ghazali Junaid was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets for just 30 runs in his 4 overs while Abdul Samad got 2 wickets and Inam ul haq and Anas Fazal got a wicket each.
The reply from Spartans was subdued and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and never formed any major partnerships. None of the batsmen reached double figures except for Faizan Irfan who got 52 runs off just 31 balls as Spartans were all out for just 104 runs. For Gladiators, Mustafa Fatani, Adeel Majeed and Rafay Sheikh got 2 wickets each while Adnan Ghazi, Afzal, Hammad and Adnan Salim got a wicket each.
