Rizwan Spell Carves Builders Victory

Hiba Builders went head to head against Karachi Stallions at the Sheikhani Premier League (SPL) with Builders batting first.

Builders lost opener Haris Altaf cheaply for just 1 run but recovered well after that with Uzair Aslam and Faisal Butt knocking handy cameos of 23 and 27 runs respectively. Ghazanfar Ritchie then turned up the heat with a fiesty 44  but the Stallions bowlers kept the pressure on throughout the innings. Aamir Motiwala chipped in with 14 while Wasiq Saleem scored 19 but the team never really took off. 2 run outs and 2 wickets by Saad Samad kept things tight as the bowling unit came together to pick up a wicket each. Hiba Builders ended at 163 for 8 in 20 overs.

In response, Karachi Stallions were off to a terrible start in the chase after losing opener Ejaz Khan for 1 and one down Waqas Wakeel for duck. The team however seemed to be on the recovery with Ahmed's 44, Ajdal's 18 and Shehzad Suleman's 35 but the team continued to lose wickets regularly. Builders bowler Rizwan Merchant was outstanding in his spell, picking up 4 wickets to bamboozle the Stallions line up. The rest of the unit also chipped in as Stallions were restricted to 132 for 8 in 20 overs.

Hiba Builders won by 31 runs.
