Rizwan’s late blitz helps Steel 11 to win

Al Hamra batted first and were off to a reasonably good start. Openers were in fine form and they were hitting everything from the middle of the stick. Openers, Umair and Danish Alvi added more than 80 runs together, Umair scored 45 off 39 balls with 6 fours whereas Danish Alvi scored 42 off 31 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. After the openers were dismissed, Kashif Younis and Mubashir Ejaz propelled the score forward adding 21 and 15 respectively at a quick time. Usman also scored 14 off 9 balls but after them the late middle order could not make any impact and it was not an ideal end to the innings for Al Hamra. Shahzaib Manzoor was the best with the ball as he dismissed 3 for 18. In the end, Al Hamra scored 172 in their 20 overs.

It was a decent first innings score and Steel 11 needed good start to challenge the score. They got their wish as the openers build a good partnership at the top and provided their side a good platform. Abdullah Tahir scored 44 off 21 balls with 10 fours whereas Shoaib Nisar scored 23 off 22 balls with 4 fours. After the openers, Hamza and Tahir carried the score forward. They batted for a while before being dismissed for 12 and 18 respectively. Al Hamra then got back in the game on the back of Asif Buksh who picked up 3 wickets whereas Yasir also picked up 2. The innings was going down quickly for Steel 11 but late in the order Rizwan played an unbelievable knock of 54 off just 26 balls to give Steel 11 an unlikely victory. He smashed 4 fours and 4 sixes during his fine knock.

Steel 11 won by 2 wickets in 19 overs.
