Openers Navaid and Shahid got their team off to a decent start with knocks of 18 and 23 respectively but the team were unable to get going at any stage. Demons bowlers kept at it, picking wickets consistently, not giving them any room to score. Farhan Sartaj and Haseeb Amin kept the scoreboard ticking with cameos of 24 and 23 runs respectively as Zaiftis ended at 118 for 4 in 20 overs. Umair Majeed was the key wicket taker for his side with 2 scalps.
In response, Karachi Demons fumbled dramatically in the chase after losing opener Abdullah Zareen and one down Anas Ilyas for duck. Hunain and Umair Adamjee followed soon after with knocks of 6 and 3 respectively with the team reeling at one stage. Umair Majeed posted some runs at the top with 16 runs but the real partnership was between Saad Faisal and Owais Arif Sultanpur. Saad scored 29 off 21 runs while Owais saved his side with 39 off 35 as Karachi Demons chased down the target in 17.2 overs. Muhammad Zulfiqar and Khurram Sattar picked up 2 wickets each for their side but were unable to defend their team's total.
