Super Star CC Vs Shan XI

Super Star CC batted first and were off to a great start. Their openers looked to be in mesmerizing touch and they timed the ball sweetly. Farhad Khalid scored 36 off 38 balls whereas Mansoor scored 20 off 23 balls. After them, the score was propelled forward by Hannan Ahmed who scored 15 off 8 balls with 3 fours at a strike rate off 187. In the later stages of the innings, Super Star’s batsmen took advantage of the platform and smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground. The charge was led by Owais who scored 33 off 22 balls who smashed 2 fours and 2 sixes and he was supported by Shezad and Jahangir who scored 17 and 14 respectively. In the end, Super Star posted 157 in their first innings.
In response, Shan XI never really got going and Super Star CC was all over them from the very start. Only one man from Shan XI, Kamran Ahmed showed some resistant with his valiant effort off 47 from 36 balls the rest were disappointing. The bowling though on the other hand, was of top quality, Saad Dawood was in unbelievable form. He picked up 4 wickets in just 2.2 overs at an outstanding economy rate of 2.27. It doesn't get better than that. Mansoor Ali Khan also picked up 2 wickets. It was an inspiring bowling effort from Super Star which meant that they restricted Shan XI to just 104 and won by 53 runs.
