Rims Lions batted first against Sabuwala Strikers at the opening match of the Bantva Super League and imploded against the opposition. With the exception of Rabish Ahmed's 71, the rest of the team were dismissed cheaply by dynamic duo Bilal Omer and Bilal Tariq who took 4 wickets each. Rims Lions were restricted to a low 128 with Sabuwala's bowlers doing well to keep things tight.
In response, Sabuwala Strikers were off to a rocky start in the chase with their top order also being dismissed early on in the innings. Faheem Bilwani then played an anchor role for his side with a responsible 37 off 36 and despite wickets continuing to fall, the lower order managed to survive to keep the scoreboard ticking. Basit Younus knocked 21, Abdul Wahab with 14 and Hammmad Imran's 11 helped Sabuwala Strikers get over the line in 18.4 overs. Lions bowlers however must be commended as they fought back well with 3 key run outs and a wicket each by Ubaid, Haris, Rabish and Sumair threatening to steal the victory.
