Shadab Sports Outplay FC Sports

In this highly exciting fixture, Shadab Sports left no stone unturned in outplaying their opponents FC Sports. Shadab Sports dominated the play right from the first innings, where they batted first and were off to a decent start. Osama Naeem was the first man to walk back to the pavilion and another quick wicket shifted the momentum towards FC Sports’ way. But before any serious damage could be done, Omer Rajkot and Talha Faheem produced a gem of a partnership. Both of them thrashed the ball all around the park and made life difficult for the bowlers. Omer Rajkot scored a superb knock of 78 runs, which came off in just 39 balls. On the other end, Talha scored 82 runs off 45 balls and proved his mettle. With a quick 9 ball 21 runs from Faisal Iqbal, Shadab Sports posted a mammoth 230 runs on the board. 2 wickets each were picked by Shuja Ali, Shahid Mukhtar and Ali Mehar, while 1 wicket apiece was grabbed by Anus Badar and Ovais Badar.

Such a huge target creates a lot of pressure for the chasing team. And to mellow the pressure you need a good start. Unfortunately the FC Sports innings started in the most unimpressive manner. A golden duck for Farman Israr was a prelude for a batting disaster. FC Sports could not retain any control of the situation and kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Shuja Ali scored 22 off 15 and Humair made 32 runs off 29 balls, but both of them failed to convert their starts into bigger scores. Hammad Mughal was the only batsman who batted well in his team. He scored a 65 run knock which came off in just 33 deliveries. But with lack of support from the other end, even this brilliant display of batting could not save FC Sports from defeat.  Zeeshan Nasir, Rafay Malik and Abrar Ahmed claimed 2 scalps apiece, while Ahsan and Faisal Iqbal got 1 wicket each. This decent display of bowling restricted FC Sports to 157 for 8 at the end of their innings and Shadab Sports won the match by 73 runs.
