Sequre XI Falcons went head to head with Dirty Dozen at Moin Khan this past Friday and batted first. Openers Arshad and Saram got their team off to a decent start with knocks of 13 and 25 respectively with one down Hassan Naqvi carrying the momentum forward with a cameo of 27. It was however Shah Qureshi who shined with the bat with an impressive 64 which included 4 boundaries 5 sixes. The team was further propelled by Danish and Farrukh whose knocks helped Sequre Falcons to a massive target of 206 in 20 overs. Dirty Dozen bowlers had an off night, unable to take wickets or contain the opposition. Bilal Akhleem was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets while Shayan, Khalid and Maaz took a wicket each.
In response Dirty Dozen had their work cut out for them. Abid Aslam stepped out with the intent to chase with an impressive 45 runs. Taimoor Butt and Umer Ghazi also chipped away 15 and 16 with Bilal Akhleem also knocking 22. Eventually Mahmood Khan made a last ditch effort of 18 but it was too little too late. Falcons bowlers did well to limit the opposition with Khuwaja Atyab picking up 2 wickets and the rest of the unit chipping in. Dirty Dozen were limited to 141 for 6 in 18 overs.
Sequre XI Falcons won by 65 runs as Dirty Dozen conceded defeat.
