Khatri Fighters v Okhai Memon Youth Services (OMYS)
On a scorching afternoon it was Khatri Fighters who batted first against OMYS at RLCA Gulberg. The start was not so good for the batting team as they lost their opener Abdullah Anwar who made just 3 runs. Sibghatullah and Gul e Abbas steadied the innings scoring 36 and 21 runs and then the lower order of Khatri Fighters knocked some quick runs enabling them to set a target of 187 runs for OMYS to chase. Asif Hameed also scored 36 runs. Hammad was the best bowler for OMYS with figures of 2 for 21 off 3 overs.
It wasn’t a good start for OMYS either as Osama got the first wicket of the innings by removing Aqeel in the first over. Shakeel Aziz came in at one down and started playing his shots from the start. The second wicket partnership was going well when Danish Anwar came into attack and simply ran through the middle order of OMYS. When Shakeel Aziz got out after scoring 91 runs it was practically over for OMYS. Danish Anwar was the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 31.
Khatri Fighters won by 15 runs.
