Shark CC and Dawson Stars played against each other at Anu Bhai park ground as part of the 20th Challengers Cup. Shark CC batted first and Kamran Salam with 53 runs and Haris Izhar with 59 runs got them off to a good start and set the foundation for a big score before Ali Butt hit 38 runs off just 17 balls to propel his team to a large score of 195 for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of 20 overs. For Dawson Atars, Muhammad Ali took 2 wickets while Anzar, Waqar and Ali Mehar picked up a wicket each.
In reply, opener Muhammad Ali was in fine form as he hit 83 runs off just 54 balls and Atif Afridi got 24 runs but the other batsmen squandered the opportunity and only Mubeen managed 12 runs while the rest failed to score anything reasonable and Dawson Stars were all out for 160 runs. Credit must be given to Shark CC whose bowlers pulled back the run flow on timely basis and took wickets at crucial intervals to emerge as the victors in the game. Haris Izhar was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets for just 12 runs while Rehan and M Arfat got 2 wickets each and Asad Ali picked up a wicket.
Shark CC won by 35 runs.
