Karachi Patriots batted first against Terry World Tigers in an exciting match of Legends Cup. Opener Faisal Butt smashed 62 runs giving a dream start to his team. One-down Aamir Motiwala then came out as a sign of destruction for the opposition. He played some big shots all over and across the park and hammered each and every bowler. Aamir played an unbeatable knock of 81 runs off 44 deliveries. Adeel Sabuwala then also added some fuel to the fire and helped patriots to cross 200 runs by contributing 32 runs from his side. The bowling unit looked totally helpless both in terms of taking wickets and in controlling runs. The only remarkable performance was by Naveed Rangoonia who picked up 2 wickets. Karachi Patriots scored 207 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Terry World Tigers gave an excellent fight back in their turn. Opener Hammad Sheikhani scored 48 runs giving his team a fine start in the chase of such a big total. But it was Shehzad Suleman’s wondrous innings which did it for Tigers. Suleman played a fabulous winning knock of 85 runs off 55 deliveries. A cameo of 21 runs by Anas also helped Tigers to achieve the target with even 5 deliveries to spare. Patriots bowlers failed to defend and save their batsmen’s hard work and were found vulnerable. They also had some serious problems with their line as they bowled 23 wide deliveries. This is where thing went wrong for them. Adnan ghazi was the only wicket taking bowler from Patriots picking up 2 wickets.
