The SHEQE Stars put on a wonderful display of cricket at the Asghar Ali Shah Ground, on April 8th against Hiba Builder Thunders.
SHEQE Stars batted first and right from the start were looking to score big. Their opening batsman Shahvez Yaqoob made a very impressive 85 runs from 50 balls which put the team on the path to victory. Kamran Ibrahim also made an impressive 44 from 27. With an added 20 extra runs, the team made 209 in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Nadeem Akhtar and Faisal Butt took two wickets each while Aamir Motiwala took one.
Despite their best efforts, Hiba Builder Thunders could not chase the target and although Faisal Butt made 36 from 20 and Ghazanfar Ritchie made 66 from 36, they were only able to make 170 in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Abdullah Nawab and Zeeshan Aarbi took an impressive three wickets each while Muhammad Sufiyan and Umair Iqbal took one.
The SHEQE Stars batted and bowled impressively to take the win against their opponents.
