Sher Ali’s century leads Soneri Bank to victory

Soneri Bank batted first & had a shaky start as they lost both their openers early in the innings. Mohib Ullah Shiekh managed to score 18 runs off 24 balls before being dismissed. However, Sher Ali played a brilliant knock, remaining unbeaten on 106 runs off just 64 deliveries. His innings included 10 fours and 5 sixes, providing a strong foundation for the team. Zain Ul Malik contributed 16 runs off 11 balls. Unfortunately, the rest of the batting lineup couldn’t contribute much, and the team finished with a total of 171 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Shuja uddin was the most successful bowler for NBP Lions, picking up 2 wickets.

Chasing the target of 172 runs, NBP Lions got off to a decent start with their openers. Farrukh Shahid scored 26 runs off 14 balls, while Sohail Zaman contributed 16 runs off 19 deliveries. Syed Umair Ali played a quick innings of 18 runs off just 11 balls, maintaining the momentum for NBP Lions. Azhar Khan showed great determination and scored 46 runs off 29 balls, keeping the team’s hopes alive. Salman Ali Memon also played an important knock of 35 runs off 24 balls. However, the Soneri Bank bowlers struck back and caused a collapse in the NBP Lions’ batting lineup. Shahid Jiwani and Dabeer Ullah were the star bowlers for Soneri Bank, as they both picked up 3 wickets each. Sher Ali, who had earlier played a brilliant innings with the bat, also contributed with the ball and took 2 wickets. The rest of the NBP Lions’ batting lineup failed to deliver under pressure. In the end, NBP Lions were bowled out for 166 runs in 19.4 overs.
