Rangoonwala Cricket Club Vs Al Hamza Sports
Friendly Fixture
Rangoonwala Cricket Club batted first and were off to a shaky start as they lost their openers in single digit scores. After the dismissal of openers, Shoaib Mirza and Ghani Subhan joined each other in the middle. Both batted with determination and positive attitude and formed a brilliant partnership. Ghani Subhan played a good little supportive role as he scored 32 off just 22 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. On the other hand, Shoaib Mirza was in tremendous form and he was smashing the bowlers to all parts of the ground. He scored 90 off just 55 balls with 3 sixes and 12 fours. After their dismissal, Bakhrain and Shehroz came in the middle and played brilliantly in the later stages of the innings. Bakhrain scored a dazzling 54 off just 23 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes whereas Shehroz remained unbeaten for a well-made 23 off 7 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Al Hamza bowler Deedar Anjum struck with the ball, picking up 2 wickets. In the end, Rangoonwala Cricket Club posted a big 226 runs first innings score.
In response, Al Hamza Sports were dreadful during the chase. They were never really in the game. Since, they were chasing a huge score therefore they wanted their top order to fire and someone to bat through but there were contributions in bits and pieces and no one could manage to create an impact. There was one stage where things were looking good for Al Hamza when Haq Nawaz and Adnan Khan were batting, they scored 46 and 39 respectively and batted with a good strike rate but once they were dismissed the Al Hamza Sports innings fell like the house of cards. The bowlers bowled brilliantly and everyone contributed. Wasim Ali was the highest wicket taker as he picked up 2 wickets for 29 runs. It was an all-round team effort from Rangoonwala Cricket Club which earned them a big win by 59 runs.
