Hamdard University batted first and were off to a poor start as they lost wicket after wicket throughout their innings in this all-important clash against Sir Syed University. Sir Syed University bowlers were in amazing form throughout the tournament and they showed their class in this game as well. Mamoon Imtiaz picked up 3 for just 18 whereas Noman picked up 2 for just 15 runs. It was a story of wickets, as Hamdard never really got goind in the entire innings. Saeedullah fought valiantly as he scored 42 but rest failed miserably and in the end, they were restricted to just 120 in their 20 overs.
Sir Syed University came out all guns blazing as they do often. The openers were never shy of playing the big shots in their brilliant opening partnership. Subhan Khan scored 39 whereas Ashir scored 39 as well and they both gave a perfect start to the innings. After the openers, Ghani and Ali Hashmi partnered and completed the other formalities. Ghulam scored 26 whereas Ali remained not out on 16. In the end, it was an easy chase for Sir Syed as they completed the chase in 10.5 overs.
Sir Syed University won by 8 wickets.
