ZMCC batted first and were off to a brilliant start with special thanks to opener Sohail. Sohail was in great hitting form and took advantage of the initial overs where he smashed every bowler to all parts of the ground. He scored 83 off just 46 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 180.43 and was supported by his partner Afzal who knocked a cameo of 23 runs. After the dismissal of the openers, Shahid Ghayyas and Ali Bantwa propelled the score forward. Shahid scored 10 off 12 balls whereas Ali Bantwa scored 30 off 19 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. However, soon after, the innings took a nose dive and ZMCC lost wickets in a heap. Waseem was the highest wicket taker as he picked up 3 wickets but he went for 47 runs in his 4 over spell. In the end, ZMCC scored 168 in their 20 overs.
In response, Aqeel Combined were off to a reasonably good start. The openers, Ahsan Siddiqui and Azmat Ali formed a good opening partnership and put Aqeel Combined on track. Ahsan Siddiqui scored 25 off 20 balls whereas Azmat Ali scored 17 off 14 balls. Things were going along nicely for Aqeel Combined when the openers were together but after their dismissal, the game drifted away from them. The bowlers made a resounding comeback in the game, Afzal Qureshi picked up 3 wickets whereas Shoaib, Syed Ali and Shahbaz picked up 2 each. There were some late contributions from Aqeel Combined batsmen with Syed Aqeel Ahmed's 20 run knock but those were not enough as they fell short by 36 runs.
ZMCC won by 36 runs.
