Sons of Pitches Dominate Novatex

Sons of Pitches faced Novatex at Hill Park this past Saturday and batted first. The team was in good form with opener Noman coming out with the intent. He smashed an impressive 49 runs and was unlucky in missing half century, eventually dismissed by Mujahid. One down Farhan Allahwala kept the momentum going with his knock of 31 with the team oncourse to get a big total. A few wickets fell in intervals that pulled the game back but eventually, cameos by Zubair, Hamza and Kumail boosted Sons of Pitches to a respectable 170 for 6 in 18 overs.

In response, Novatex Limited simply could not get going at any stage, losing wickets too frequently to keep the scoreboard ticking. Zubair Arif was the key wicket taker for his side with 3 scalps in his spell with the rest of the bowling line up chipping in to restrict to Novatex to just 85 runs. For Novatex Limited, there were a sprinkling of cameos but none of the players could build the innings at any stage.
