Southend Bulls batted first and were off to a decent start. The openers, Fahad and Noman played confidently at the top and build a good platform. Noman scored 14 off 7 whereas his partner, Fahad scored 37 off 22 balls. After the openers were dismissed, Sheraz and Naveed propelled the score forward and scored 48 and 19 respectively. The duo took advantage of the platform given by the openers. The ending though was not as what Bulls had planned for as they lost quick wickets at the end. In the end, they scored 156 in the first innings.
The chase was off to a brilliant start from Irfan and Khurram. Khurram scored 16 off 13 balls whereas Irfan scored 42 off just 22 balls at a strike rate off 190. The opening partnership gave a head start to Southend Champions and they were in front. After the openers, the middle order did their job. Sundar and Ubaid cautiously took their side closer to victory. Sundar scored 24 off just 16 whereas Ubaid managed to score 40 off just 20 balls. Mohsin completed the formalities and scored 16 off just 8 to give his side a very comprehensive win only in 13.1 overs.
Southend Champions won by 7 wickets.
