Special Olympics Pakistan batted first, losing opener Azhar Bashir for just 8 runs. His partner Hamzah however contributed a valuable 20 runs that included 3 boundaries. The team struggled throughout the innings, unable to keep wickets intact. Hasanat Ahmed was the only other notable contributor for his side with a fiery cameo of 23 runs that further propelled his team's total. Gymkhana bowlers did well to contain the opposition, picking up wickets at key times and limiting the flow of runs. Special Olympics Pakistan set a target of 135 in 20 overs.

Karachi Gymkhana were off to a rocky start, losing opener Saim Faraz for just 2 runs. The team had a terrible day out with the bat, losing wickets frequently, unable to keep the scoreboard ticking. Skipper Humza Obaid was the only notable contributor for his side, top scoring with a 28 run knock to try and pull his team back in the game. Special's bowlers were in-form and on fire with Zakir Hayat and Mughees Alam leading the attack, taking 2 wickets each. An all round tight bowling performance made the Gymkhana U-17 boys crack under pressure and they were bowled out for 129 in 18.2 overs.
