Alliance Sports batted first and had a disastrous day out with the bat. The team struggled throughout the innings, losing wickets frequently unable to gain momentum and contribute runs with the bat. Saad Ahmed was the only notable contributor for his side with a valuable contribution of 31 runs. Strikers bowlers were ruthless against the opposition with Nadeem Akthar leading the attack, taking 3 key wickets. He was further supported by Asadullah Nawab and Waqas Vakil who took 2 wickets each to rip through the batting line up! Alliance Sports were restricted to 126 runs in 20 overs.
With a modest total to chase, Strikers CC were already confident in their chase. Both openers got their team off to a reasonable start contributing a 34 runs. The team lost wickets in regular intervals but minor contributions all around kept the scoreboard ticking throughout the game. Things got rough for the batting side when Saad Ahmed and Israr ul Haq attacked with the ball, taking 2 wickets each and limiting the flow of runs. 3 run outs and a few quick wickets and the momentum began to shift. Nadeem Akthar was the hero for his side with a calm innings of 33 runs to comfortably guide his team to victory. Strikers CC chased down the target in 19.1 overs.
