Suleman Classic Shaheen edged a 5-run victory against ENM at the Annu Bhai Park this past Thursday.
Suleman Classic batted first and despite getting off to a slow start, a succession of consistent knock throughout the middle and lower order kept the scoreboard ticking and gave their innings the stability it needed to amass a total of 137 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 10 wickets. From the ENM side, Danish Alvi and Haris Alamgir took two wickets while Hamza and Imran Tahir, Tanveer Ahmed and M.Zohaib Sohail took one wicket each.
ENM were off to a relatively better start in their innings and performed consistently in the beginning but their lower middle and lower order fell rather quickly and they were halted at 132 in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Imran Qamar from Suleman Classic took an impressive three wickets while Amaan Nadeem and Ibrahim Tahir took two wickets each.
The game came down to a very close margin and the victory could have gone to either side but in the end Suleman Classic prevailed.
