Super Star batted first and were off to a terrible start, only Faisal Kashmiri scored in double figures from the top order, he scored 18 off 19 rest failed miserably. Bowlers did a terrific job to restrict them which lead to wickets. Saad Samad and Daniyal Gigi both picked up 3 wickets and were the chief destroyers. Anas also picked up 2. The innings was going nowhere for Karachi Star until some resistance came from the late middle order. Aurangzaib Khan scored 18 off 24 and after him Ali Shakeel and Jahangir Khan scored some quick runs at the end. Ali Shakeel scored 29 off 22 balls whereas Jahangir Khan scored 37 off 20 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. In the end, Super Star scored 143 in their 20 overs.
It could have been much worse for Super Star CC but late resistance gave them a fighting score. Karachi Star’s innings got off to a bright start as their openers, Taha Karsaz and Farhad Khan charged the bowlers early in the innings. Taha scored 30 off 26 balls whereas Farhad scored 36 of 24 balls. The chase was on the right track until the openers were batting but after their dismissal nothing went Karachi Star’s way. Shezad Anwar picked up 4 wickets and was the chief destroyer, Huzaifa and Atif were also not far behind as the contributed with 3 wickets each. It was a great comeback from Super Star CC because at one stage they were going down quickly but they kept believing and in the end, they won the game in great fashion.
