Super Star CC batted first and were off to a good start with their openers giving them a good platform at the top. Faisal Kashmiri played a supportive role and scored 12 off 12 whereas Farhad Khalid scored 45 off 26 and was more dominant of the two as he smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground and scored 5 fours and 2 sixes during his innings. After their dismissal, Khurram Ahmed of Friends CC picked up some cheap wickets in the middle to bring his side back in the game. He bowled a good spell and picked up 3 crucial wickets for just 20 runs. Unfortunately, he did not get much support from the other end, and Super Star CC took advantage of that. Shahzad Niaz and Ali Shakeel smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground and scored 27 and 20 respectively before Jahangir Khan who scored 23 off 13 balls came in and ended the innings on a high. Super Star scored 170 in their 20 overs.
Friends XI in response, were off to a scintillating start, thanks largely to their openers, Zohaib Ahmed and Tahir Iqbal. Both were looking in great form and were hitting everything from the middle of the stick. Zohaib Ahmed scored 37 off just 23 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes whereas Tahir scored 40 off just 16 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. The innings was going along nicely when the two were batting but it soon took a nose dive when they were dismissed. Farhan Niaz picked up 3 for 15 in his 4 over spell and was the pick of the bowlers whereas Atif and Shahzad picked up 2 each. Khurram Ahmed tried his level best to take Friends XI over the line as he scored 30 off 20 but that was not enough as they kept losing wickets at the other end, in the end they could manage to score 164 and fell short just by 6 runs.
