OGS Daewoo batted first against Benitoz at the Legends Cup and lost opener Adnan Siddiqui for duck. The team continued to struggle after that with some seriously poor running between the wickets. Itreza, Arshad and Mustafa all chipped in with minor cameos but were unable to build an innings. Noman Subhan was the true savior for OGS and really came through for his side with a fiery 49 off 29. He was unlucky to be run out before reaching his half century. Waseem Ali also contributed a fiery 35 which helped boost OGS Daewoo to a defendable 169 for 7 in 20 overs. Benitoz kept things tight with some brilliant work in the field. Eventually 4 of the batsmen were run out and Madni, Umer and Hamza picked up a wicket each.
In response, Benitoz lost opener Ahmed Arshad for just 8 runs but remained undeterred. Tabish Raza's 53, M.Ali's 23 and Mohib Ahsan's 56 simply stole the game away from the OGS bowlers. The chasing side did well to keep their wickets intact and contribute effectively in the chase but the OGS bowlers fell weak against the opposition, unable to take wickets when needed. Ali Samir took 2 wickets while Waseem, Sheryar, Shoaib and Faraz took a wicket each. Benitoz eventually chased down the target in 17.4 overs.
Benitoz won by 4 wickets.
