Ten Pearls v Shan Foods- Final
Ten Pearls faced Shan Foods as part of the 6th Challengers Corporate Cup final this past Saturday at Al Mansoora. Batting first, Shan Foods top order were completely bamboozled by a fantastic display of bowling with 5 of the top order batsmen being dismissed cheaply. Adeel Shamsi and Arif then stepped in to lead the recovery with knocks of 24 an 55 to pull their team back in the game. However once the pair were dismissed, none of the other batsmen were able to carry the momentum forward with Shan Foods ending at 121 for all out in 19.5 overs. Mudassir Sheikh was the key wicket taker with 4 wickets while Faaz, Fawad and Ali took 2 wickets each.
In response Ten Pearls lost their opener Faiz early on for just 1 run but the team remained undeterred. Muhammad Sheraz and Ajdal Aziz knocked cameos of 26 and 21 but it was the outstanding handy work of Yasir Tanveer which lead his side to a comfortable victory. He smashed 41 off 30 including 4 boundaries. Faaz Ullah also contributed with 26 runs. Shan Foods bowlers were ineffective against the opposition with only Danish Farooqi striking with 2 wickets. Ten Pearls ended at 125 for 4 in 19 overs.
