TenPearls Win High Scoring Thriller

In a group match of the 8th Challengers Corporate Cup, played at the Eastern Star Ground, the Amadeus Super Cricketers played the TenPearls, in a game that went right down to the wire.

TenPearls opted to bat first and took off in a blistering manner, with both openers striking the ball cleanly to all parts of the ground, Muhammad Sheraz Siddique started the innings of with a bang, scoring a 48 ball 68, with 9 fours and 2 sixes to his name. With the momentum already provided, middle order batsman M Ali played a brilliant knock of 67 runs, in just 41 balls, with 6 fours and a 2 sixes in his innings. Thus, the TenPearls ended their innings at a huge total of 184 runs. For the Amadeus Super Cricketers, Zohaib Rizwan took 2 wickets for 31 runs.

The Amadeus Super Cricketers, chasing a massive 185 runs, took off confidently with opener Faizan Alam scoring a confident 33 runs, in 31 balls, with just 1 boundary. However, the TenPearls bowlers dominated with the ball, taking wickets at short intervals, and hence restricting their opponents to 167 runs, for the loss of 9 wickets, at the end of 20 overs. Zain Khan was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 44 runs, while Faaz Ullah and Muhammad Hamza taking 2 wickets each.

The TenPearls won the match by 17 runs.
