Defending champions Tnn Titans and Rims Lions came head to head in the qualifier of the MSL Season 2 at RLCA Cricket ground. Batting first, Lions amassed a huge total of 208 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. The high score was powered primarily by Shehryar Ghani who knocked 71 runs off 50 deliveries at the top of the order but it was Adeel Khan who did maximum damage by scoring a century off just 46 deliveries at a strike of 217% and his innings included 9 huge sixes. For Titans, Abdul Samad took 2 wickets while Shaaz, Umer and Yousuf got a wicket each.
Facing a huge target, Titans remained undeterred as Captain Owais Pasta got 26 runs up the order along with Ali Iqbal who scored 85 runs off 45 deliveries at a strike rate of 186% and was unlucky not to get a century. Talha Faheem then moved the score forward with 46 runs off 31 deliveries but it was a superb cameo from Muhammad Sabih Merchant who batted aggressively and hit 5 mega sixes in his knock of 42 runs off 17 deliveries at a strike rate of 247%. This brilliant finishing knock from Sabih helped Titans win the game with 4 balls to spare and for the loss of 5 wickets and this victory enabled them to qualify for the finals of the Memon Super league season 2. For Lions, Waqar, Usama and Adeel got a wicket each while there were 2 run outs.
