In the opening match of Day 4 of the 3rd KK Super Sixes being held at the UBL Sports Complex, Towellers came head to head with the Super Star CC.
Towellers, led by youngster Hamza Obaid, won the toss and opted to bat first. The Towellers started their innings with opener Shahrukh departing to the pavilion after scoring just 8 runs. Haseeb, however lead the charge scoring a blistering 32 runs in just 9 balls with 3 fours and 2 huge sixes. Ali Haider also scored a quick 13 runs with 1 four. For the Super Star CC, Arshad was the only wicket taker, picking up a wicket for 13 runs. Towellers ended their 5 overs at a competitive score of 77 runs for the loss of 1 wicket.
The Super Star CC initiated their chase in a confident manner with opener Farhad Khalid scoring 12 runs with one boundary. Shezad Anwar also scored 13 runs in 11 balls with one four and one six to his name. However the second innings was illuminated by the star bowling of the Towellers. Shehzad Mehar and youngster Hamza Obaid bowled in a splendid fashion to restrict their opposition to 49 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Shehzad Mehar took 3 wickets for just 3 runs while Hamza Obaid took 2 wickets for 7 runs.
The Towellers won the game by 29 runs.
